Diet Diary #3 - Final Post!
LOL, well....I am ending the diet diary because I have no self control whatsoever. I cannot do a diet because I cannot seem to keep up with it. I barely know which way is up these days and add counting calories and watching what I eat to it. It's one more thing that I have to juggle and its something that I can cut out! I love my McDonalds so when I have time to diet, I will =)

Diet Dairy #2
It has been around two weeks since my last post regarding my diet. I am not very good with diets as I have no self control for sweets. They are like crack to me and I cannot resist them if they are anywhere in sight. I have tried to stay on point but I have fallen off the wagon a little bit. = / Kylie is having sleep issues (surprise surprise) so the gym has been put on hold for now. I will get back into it though! As for now, I am not really doing any specific sort of diet as I can't seem to follow the rules properly. I have lost 4 pounds in two weeks though. Yay for me! 15 more to go!
3 Months already?!
I am not doing a very good job of keeping up with blogging these days. I absolutely love doing it but in an effort to save money, we no longer have internet or cable at home. I tell you it is awful but its nice at the same time! We get lots more done around the house as we have no excuse for not doing it!
Katelyn celebrated her 3rd month this week! Can you believe it has already been three months! I sure can't. It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital. She is just growing faster than I could ever imagine. A friend and I were talking the other day and she was telling me how her daughter was in 6 months clothes already (she was born a day after Katelyn). I mistakenly told her that Katelyn wasn't in 6 months yet but the outfit she is wearing today is 6 months. I guess I didn't want to accept that she is growing so fast! She is holding her head up beautifully, sleeping through the night, and talking up a storm. Last night, she went to sleep at 7:30 and woke up at 5:30 this morning. Thank the Lord, at least I have one that sleeps! She is the smiliest child, she just gets so excited when she sees Kylie. It is the cutest thing. She let out a little half a laugh the other day, SO cute!

Roly Poly
As of July 11, we now have a new mover and shaker in the Fukushima household!! Katelyn began to roll from side to side and around her playmat. I leave the room for two seconds and when I come back she is on her tummy!! WHAT! Immediately I was afraid that Kylie had helped sister, but quickly realized that my shadow had followed me to where I was. She rolled over all by herself! YAY for Katelyn!
She is just getting so big so fast. I cannot believe how much she has already grown in the short time she has been here. At her 2 month check up, she was a healthy 10 lbs, 8 ounces, and all smiles. She is also pretty long, but I can't remember exact measurements. She is already in 3 months clothes and quickly moving up to 3-6 months. I do believe she is going to be a little taller than Kylie, she still wore newborns well into three months! I have packed away all the newborns and almost all 0-3 months. What a bittersweet time. I was packing her clothes holding back tears. They just grow so fast. We don't have any room for storage so as she grows, things are getting donated to various friends who are expecting little ones. As much as I want another baby (YIKES, YES I said it), logic has kicked in and I will not be having one for quite some time, if at all.
OH, one more fantastic tidbit, she is sleeping peacefully through the night! Hallelujah! =) I will continue to update on her every new development!

Diet Diary
WOW was my last blog really July 1st?? Man how time flies. Update on my diet..hmm..not so good. Myfitnesspal.com is absolutely amazing, works a lot like weight watchers but its free. I really love it. The website is fantastic but keeping myself accountable and eating right isn't so fantastic. I cheated and found ways around my calorie counting, if I even bothered to count. BOO, the baby weight is only going to stay if I do that SO insanity began yesterday. By insanity, I mean, the Lake Jackson Weight Loss clinic meal plan. I have a friend who is doing their full program and kindly shared his book with me. I cannot afford to do the whole program which comes with appetite suppressants and vitamin B supplements. I am just following the book and diet program that he is doing. Hopefully I do not fail miserably.
Weigh In: July 3 - 130
Weigh In: July 10 - 129
Weigh In: July 12- 128
I began this diet yesterday....and the diary begins.
Day 1
Weigh In: July 3 - 130
Weigh In: July 10 - 129
Weigh In: July 12- 128
I began this diet yesterday....and the diary begins.
Day 1
- Breakfast- 1/2 cup of egg beaters and two turkey sausage patties
- Lunch- 1/4 protein shake (DEESGUSTING), sugar free jello
- 4:00- literally dieing of starvation at this point, feeling very lightheaded and can barely walk. I need food and I need food now. HA McDonalds it is, how convenient it is on the way to Kylie's daycare. McDouble and small coke just made life MUCH better
- Dinner- what the hell i can eat what i want at this point...carrot cake and teriyaki pork chop
- Exercise- a couple planks and supermans, maybe 30 minutes worth of exercising
- Breakfast- 1/2 cup egg beaters and two turkey sausage patties
- Lunch- 1 sip of protein shake...can we say instant stomach churning...no way am I drinking this. If you like a Yoo Hoo you will like this shake, I HATE yoo hoo. SO I have an awesome boss who shared her Turkey unwich with me, a slice of turkey, cucumber, tomato and sprouts wrapped in lettuce. This is not on my meal plan but its okay I suppose. Very few real calories. Thank you Jimmy Johns and Cindy Weier
- Dinner-one chicken breast marinated in Ken's buffalo sauce
- Exercise- walk, run, walk, run for one mile, I didn't do much but definitely felt the burn afterwards. My muscles are still very weak from pregnancy, my back especially.

Sweat, count, Sweat, count
I am currently attempting something that I think every woman has tried, a diet. What diet am I doing you say, I did Weight Watchers before having Kylie and was very successful. I lost about 30 pounds in 6 months. It was no easy task that is for sure. I struggled with my weight after high school and needed to lose it. I simply didn't care what or how much I ate! I finally realized how depressed I was about my weight and needed to do something, so Weight Watchers it was. I didn't exercise much but I was strict about my point system. It was very hard in the beginning. Green beans were 0 points and I ate TONS of them. It was the only thing that filled me up that I could get away with. I also lived off of taco salads, by taco salad I mean lettuce mixed with salsa...no points again. I didn't get to my goal weight of 110 but I got to 115....close enough =)
I was very conscious of what I ate while I was pregnant with Kylie so I didn't gain too much weight. I did indulge in the Cake Shop craving but kept it at a 30 pound weight gain. Success! I quickly lost the weight and was down to preprego weight in no time. This time I spent a lot of time in the gym and really worked at losing the weight.
Pregnancy number 2 went just as smoothly as pregnancy number 1 in the weight gain department, an even 30 pounds. Now....the weight loss battle begins. I lost the first 20 with no problem but now we have 15-20 to go, as my goal weight is 110.
I am blogging about my challenges ahead of me to hold myself accountable. I am ATTEMPTING to cut out diet cokes and stick to a stringent 1200 calories a day. So far this week, I have not been able to stick to it. =/
I will update you on my progress as much as possible!!

Home Remodeling....Still in Progress!
So I have some super exciting news to report! My wonderful husband furiously worked hard Friday night after work and finished the wood floors in the living room!! He did a fabulous job and it looks so good. My parents had a major malfunction in their kitchen which caused a whole set of issues. They decided to remove the wood floors they had down and replace them with ceramic tile. They gave us all of the wood floors that was in the kitchen and it only covered about half of my living room. I didn't realize this until AFTER we had ripped up the carpet and half the living room was done. = / OOPS!!
The search began for matching wood floors. Bethany at C&J Decorating had a challenge ahead of her as the do not make the color of the floors anymore!! She found ONE company that had enough and could get it here. We did a little more research on it and couldn't find anywhere that could get it. We placed the order on Tuesday and it was here Thursday around lunch time! YAY! Dustin came home and immediately got to work. It didn't want to lock together as well as the other did so we were terrified that it wouldn't work. He packaged everything back up and I texted Bethany to let her know it wasn't going to work. She was worried sick and got back with me first thing the next morning. Mark, the store owner, had a trick up his sleeve that worked beautifully! We got the rest of the wood floors down in a couple of hours and it looks fabulous. I cannot express to you how difficult and aggravating this whole process has been but because of blessings that continue to come our way, we have been able to get things done little by little.
C&J is so wonderful. They were able to get us floors that matched perfectly, on very short notice, and very quickly. If it weren't for them, we probably would still have half of a living room!
I will update with pictures as soon as possible, for some reason it doesn't want to work properly for me today. =(
